The projectPhotography at the Virgin Money London Marathon for Tenovus
Stephen’s impact
On behalf of the Tenovus team, I would like to thank Steve for volunteering to be the official Tenovus photographer at the Virgin Money London Marathon 2014.
We are so grateful for Steve’s support in helping us capture photos that we would not otherwise be able to get. The shots turned out brilliantly - a really great bunch of photos that we can use to celebrate our runners on the day as well as in future promotional materials.
Even though Steve has a full-time job, he edited the photos and provided them to us within 48hrs which allowed us to do follow-up social media to our supporters really quickly.
I should also mention that it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with Steve on the da. He mucked in and had a laugh with us all and the whole team really enjoyed his company.
Volunteers like Steve allow us to do more than we could within our normal limits, helping us raise more money and provide more support. So a big thank you again to Steve, he really was great.

The impact on Stephen
I have two close family members with cancer so I wanted to do something related. This just felt right – go with your instinct; if it feels right it probably is. I liked the Fcancer format of matching skills to those that need them.
The whole day was fun. The the enthusiasm of the support from Tenovus was infectious and I can't think of any down-side... apart from a balloon arch which kept blowing over after I'd lifted it up. I would have sold a kidney for a sharp pin. The Tenovus team were hoping to raise around £40,000 from the event – very impressive for a stroll around the town!
