The Brigitte Trust
About us
The Brigitte Trust offers a free volunteer service of emotional support and practical help alongside the care of the medical teams. Respite for a carer, allowing them to go out for a few hours, transport to hospital for treatment, shopping or a trip out for tea or a drive in the country! Having someone visit weekly (and it's the same volunteer each week) allows a family to form a relationship with their volunteer and in turn allow them the chance to share some of the feelings and fears life-threatening illness can bring.
