The For a Day Foundation
About us
The For a Day Foundation is committed to creating emotionally therapeutic experiences for seriously ill children - and providing them and their families with a joyful and much needed diversion from the strain of chronic treatment. We believe that by engaging and supporting these children with our programs, we not only offer them a brief respite from the realities of their illnesses and everyday hospital routine, but also a lasting and cherished memory to make any day a little brighter. Founded in 2000, FADF celebrates 16 years of service to over 6,000 kids through 15 local chapters throughout the US. We had a little help from People Magazine and The Oprah Winfrey Show, but we’ve mainly grown organically, via word of mouth.
