Teed Off at Cancer

About us

Teed Off at Cancer is a San Antonio, Texas-based grassroots nonprofit that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children diagnosed with cancer. What started as a couple of friends playing golf and donating a few hundred dollars to the American Cancer Society, has blossomed into a flourishing non-profit that hosts many large fundraising events throughout the year. We provide a H.O.P.E. bag (Helping Others Persevere Everyday) to every child with cancer and their family upon admittance to three different San Antonio hospitals. These bags provide immediate essentials (personal grooming items, comfort items, grocery gift cards, gas gift cards) along with parking passes, food vouchers, and other monetary assistance when needed. Our goal is to try to take a little bit of the immediate burden off of the shoulders of these families that have just found out that their child has cancer. Many of these families have little or no insurance, some are from out of town, and some must give up their jobs to stay at the hospital with their child. We want to give them a little HOPE that people care, and that help is available.
