What needs to get done
Would you like to join a team of volunteers in Southend, Birmingham or Windsor raising funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Campaign? We are setting up new groups in Southend, Birmingham and Windsor to organise a variety of activities throughout the year including:
- Organising fundraising events from car boot sales to balls
- Fundraising with our corporate partners, such as ASDA and Debenhams
- Collecting at supermarkets, shopping centres and concerts
- Representing the charity at local events
- Giving presentations to local schools and groups
- Attending cheque presentations
- Promoting Campaign events in the area
Many of our group members work during the day so meetings and events take place at evening or weekends. We ask group members to give as much or as little time as they can; even just a couple of hours a month can make a real difference.
The funds raised by the group will help us to beat breast cancer by funding world-class research projects at centres across the UK. We currently fund 95 research projects worth over £15,630,534 million in 33 centres of excellence.
