Comedy Night Photography for The Samfund
What needs to get done
The Samfund's annual Comedy Night is taking place on June 29th at Broadway Comedy Club in New York. We're looking for a photographer who will help us to capture all of the moments we know will happen that evening - punchlines, heart-felt stories, acts of generosity, tears of joy, tears of sorrow, and maybe even a marriage proposal (it happened a few years ago!). The event kicks off at 5:30pm, and we're hoping to have a photographer on site for a short time before until approximately 9pm.
How your contribution will help
Having this project completed will help us share, in the most powerful way, what we know to be a great night to all the people who couldn't be there. We're very lucky to be able to fill this theater with many of our most dedicated supporters and we want to share that with as many people as possible. We're also luck to have Quincy Jones, the young comedian diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, as our headlining act.
What you will get out of it
The volunteer who is chosen for this project will have the chance to work with The Samfund, the first and largest non-profit organization in the United States that specifically supports and provides resources for young adult cancer survivors. The night is sure to be filled with laughs, inspiration, maybe a couple of tears, but I believe the volunteer will walk away glad that they could be a part of such a meaningful evening.
