Take phographs of art show at Cancer Lifeline
What needs to get done
Artists from the Northwest Collage Society will visually interpret poetry written by cancer patients, survivors and caregivers who participate in Cancer Lifeline's "Writing for the Moment" writers workshop. Need someone take photographs at the art opening event at the Dorothy O'Brien Center in the Green lake, Seattle Thursday, October 27th, 6-8pm.
How your contribution will help
Cancer Lifeline is a small non-profit that offers free of charge educational and support services to anyone touched by a cancer diagnosis. The art shows are a moving example of the resilience of people facing life threatening illness and the power of creative expression in the healing process. Volunteers play a vital role in helping Cancer Lifeline to manifest its goals.
What you will get out of it
The Cancer Lifeline's Dorothy O'Brien Center is wonderful, healing place. Everyone who visits and participates in activities in whatever way can't help but be impacted. Rather than be a sad place, it is a place of joy.
Volunteers are invited to take free classes or workshops offered by outstanding facilitators. From Tai Chi, to meditation or whole food nutrition there are many programs to check out.
