Bloodwise Volunteer- South Tyneside Voluntary Group
What needs to get done
We are looking for volunteers who would like to join our brand new Bloodwise - South Tyneside Voluntary Group. The group will work together to generate awareness of Bloodwise and blood cancer along with organising fundraising activities throughout the year. The new voluntary group will be headed up by long-term Bloodwise supporters Peter and Mary Crane who have been fundraising for Bloodwise following Peter’s chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) diagnoses.
How your contribution will help
Between them, Peter and Mary have cycled 450 miles from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, held car boots sales and restaurant evenings all to raise funds and support Bloodwise.
Now, they want to inspire and work with others interested in supporting Bloodwise. If you'd like to join the group, whether you'd like to get involved on a regular basis or just help out whenever you can we’d love to hear from you.
What you will get out of it
By joining the Bloodwise – South Tyneside Voluntary Group you are getting a chance to make a difference to the lives of blood cancer patients; meet new people and make new friends and enjoy new experience gaining skills along the way.
See this as an opportunity to gain valuable skills in event management, fundraising and campaigning and team work.
