Boutique Helper
What needs to get done
The boutique at Bay Area Cancer Connections is a popular service where we provide wigs, hats, and prostheses to our clients free of charge. When these items are donated or returned they need to be laundered and returned to the section of the boutique that they were borrowed from. Volunteers that help with the boutique pick up items to launder at home. This typically requires about 2 hours each week, but is as needed.
How your contribution will help
The boutique is one of our most popular services and we receive many donations of wigs and prosthesis throughout the year. By making sure items are in good condition and clean, we are allowing our clients to have the largest selection to choose from.
What you will get out of it
Volunteering in the boutique is highly rewarding because it is an area that clients love. You are helping people feel better about themselves and their appearance during a challenging period in their lives.
