Run for Mum - event entertainment
What needs to get done
Volunteer at our newest race Run for Mum and make sure that future generations of women with ovarian cancer have the best chances of survival.
We're looking for enthusiastic performers to entertain our runners, supporters and spectators at our brand new event - whether it's music, dance, or other performing arts, we would love to hear from you!
Date: Sunday 22 March 2020
Location: Hyde Park, London
Time: We need volunteers between 9am and 3pm.
How your contribution will help
11 women die every day from ovarian cancer, and ovarian cancer faces chronic underfunding compared with other cancers. Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival; you can give our runners the extra boost they need to get them over the finishing line, and know that your time will help transform diagnosis, treatment and support for the more than 25,000 women in the UK who are living with ovarian cancer.
What you will get out of it
• Experience working with an events team
• Learn about how events are run on the day
• Gain experience of dealing with members of the public and supporters
• And, importantly, contribute to a successful fundraising event, helping to improve the lives of women with ovarian cancer, now and in the future
