Great North Run 2023 Cheer Point Team Member (Newcastle/Gateshead)
What needs to get done
On Sunday 10 September between 10 am and 3 pm, hundreds of Young Lives vs Cancer runners will be taking on the infamous Great North Run to raise money for young Lives vs Cancer.
We need volunteers to whoop and whistle for our incredible teams at various sporting events across the country.
You’ll be making a big noise for the hundreds of Young Lives vs Cancer runners at the designated cheer point.
You should be aged 18 or over, complete an application form, and provide two references.
How your contribution will help
The support from the cheer points makes a huge difference, not only to our awesome supporters putting in the miles, but also in making some noise for children and young people with cancer.
Our runners always say how knowing that people in the crowd are there with them, knowing why running for Young Lives vs Cancer means so much to them is unbeatable and unforgettable - that's why we need you!
What you will get out of it
You will be representing Young Lives vs Cancer and joining our fight for Young Lives against cancer. We will send you a full brief before the day, as well as providing you with a Young Lives vs Cancer t-shirt to make sure you are all set to support of our amazing runners.
We will cover any reasonable expenses.
