St. Pierre is a 4 star hotel and in my role as a room attendant in the department of housekeeping, my duties include as follows:

• Daily housekeeping to meet Marriott brand standard

• Daily Stock Monitoring

• Maintaining a high level of customer service

• Meeting daily targets

• Working in a fast paced environment

• Problem solving and team working

I also have experience in the role of Supervisor, in this role my duties were:

• Create a positive atmosphere within the team of 20-30 associates

• Ensuring rooms are cleaned in time for guests arrivals

• Checking that every associate is doing ok and managing their time appropriately

• Delegating tasks to other associates where necessary

• Conducting daily morning meetings

• Updating in-house system to alert Reception of available rooms

• Closing down the shifts which means I would have to make sure everything is turned off in the office and every associate has returned/signed back in their key.

Melbry Events Nov/Dec 2008 - 4 Weeks Temp Temporary Position

Street Actor/Elf

Based in Bristol Cribbs Causeway

Melbry events are specialists in the creation and staging of a wide variety of events and shows. I worked in their Christmas grotto with my role as an Elf. My duties in this role involved:

• Maintaining high levels of customer service

• Making sure customers were there at the correct time

• Providing Elf entertainment for the children

• Photographing of the customers with Santa Clause

• Making sure everything is running smoothly and other associates are managing their time efficiently

Role ended, as this was a temporary position. I was offered to rejoin the team in the future.

Nutmeg Catering Temporary Position – 3-4 days

Assistant

Caerwent

I gained a position with nutmeg catering to help serve the members of the well-known television programme called Time Team whilst they were in Caerwent on business for 3-4 days. In this role my duties were:

• To help the Chef prepare food

• Hand out cutlery to the customers

• Maintaining high levels of customer service

Photographer/Videographer/Radio

On the side of my full time job, I work as a photographer (ESMPhotography) photographing weddings, families, friends, animals, landscapes and much more. I have also shot a variety of videos for Marriott to help advertise the business. Every Marriott in Europe had to film a music video to the song ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams, I filmed the one for St. Pierre Marriott Hotel and Country Club and won ‘The Best Happy Video in Europe’ award. I also have minimal experience in videoing weddings.

I thrive for the photography/media industry and eventually would love to work full time in it. To also advertise for Marriott I have been the voice of a radio advert which was to improve the sales of the health and beauty department. This was filmed on Chepstow Radio.
