About me
I love making my clients look good. I hate trying to make myself look good. So here's some quick-fire facts about myself; goods in the bag and nobody gets hurt.
1. As a member of a team, I design and artwork scratch cards and tickets for numerous lottery organisations, both in the UK and abroad. Outside my day job I work with clients one-to-one to deliver advertising/ promotional media; branding, corporate stationery and anything else I can whip up in Adobe CC. I've designed branding and more advertising for local businesses than you can shake a newspaper at.
2. As a person who stammers, my proudest networking achievement to date was connecting with the founder of African Stuttering Congress, Dieudonne Nsabimana. This lead to branding his grassroots organisation and much of the promotional materials used still today, while raising awareness to a cause incredibly personal to me.
3. I fell into the graphic design world in a slightly unorthodox manner. When making my University choices while studying Multimedia at Bradford College, my then professor asked me if I had considered the course "next door", telling me it was essentially the Multimedia course at a degree level. I wasn't even completely sure what the term 'graphic design' covered! Ah, to be 19 again...
4. My passion and thrill in my work life is getting to know my clients and their goals over a whipped cream, iced, caramel, nameless-for-legal-reasons beverage, with the intention of creating a brand and corporate image that they will fall in love with, and gives them that extra oomph to push their business objectives to infinity and beyond! (4a. I'm a huge space nerd.)
5. This isn't something I might necessarily want to admit outside this site, but I love creating visual identity and marketing materials so much that I'd do it for free, for you lovely people! I can't think of a better use of anyone's passion and skill than channeling it for good, so I hope we can work together one day soon!
