I have a diverse career history with over twelve years commercial experience working at some of the best agency’s in the North & Midlands from branding & packaging design to ad campaigns, art direction & some TV work. Over the past 3 years I have embarked on a freelance career designing & art directing for some global fmcg & national retail clients. Specific areas of expertise include, branding, packaging design, art direction & ad campaigns.

Working remotely creating concepts, new business pitch-work & art

directing for Asda’s own label brands, ‘Chosen by you’, ‘Extra Special’ &

the newly established brand ‘George home’. As part of a huge re-branding

project for Asda’s Home & leisure offering I designed the new ‘Kids home’,

‘George home’ & ‘George Baby’ brands that have now hit store. I also

worked on the 2014 Christmas gifting packaging designs for Vaseline &

Radox for the HA London office.

My focus here was to effectively oversee & push creativity on all of Asda’s own label brands. These included ‘Chosen by You’, ‘Extra Special’ & the recently launched label ‘Elegant Living’.

This role included taking creative briefs from the client, & sometimes challenging those briefs. I led post briefing brainstorming sessions for the creative & strategic development of the project. I carried out competitor research & comprehensive audits of challenger brands, & attended consumer focus groups. I produced &/or oversaw ALL creative work for Asda. As an experienced art director, I was often out on a shoot for ‘Extra Special’ &’ Chosen by You’. I was a guardian of Asda’s own label brands & made sure whilst pushing our creativity to be the very best it could be, we kept all work on brand & within the guideline structure.
