About me

My designs are inspired by my learning experiences. As a teenager in the field of construction, I learned gridding, patience and workflow. At Massachusetts Maritime Academy, I received hands on education in hierarchy, both dealing with company commanders and my football teammates. While working for the Medford fire company I learned how to connect with people, and how lines make up the world. In the fire services, trust is extremely important. This has influenced my design decisions. My studies at Curry College in the field of graphic design have put these pieces together.

At Curry College, I came to understand the use of bright colors, clean lines, jagged lines, and the importance of adapting. I have become more versatile in my use of color by getting off the computer and using graffiti and ink drop to create more natural color in addition to digital color. Using colors that are more natural and taking my own pictures lead to a more realistic piece. Then adding the clean lines mixed with imperfect lines give my work a sense of human touch. Like my logo, a broken light bulb makes you see a human element in the broken glass.

I use all of this to produce my voice in the design field. My voice is fun, vibrant and sophisticated.  I enjoy being continuously challenged and will strive to reinvent concepts. By using my original ideas and listening to my close group of critics that I have complied over the years, I go beyond my original idea or add to my design. I continuously challenge my own voice to expand on designs.

Cheers,
