What needs to get done
Healing Odyssey has begun offering our life-changing retreat weekend for women cancer survivors for no fee. We recognize that cancer can cause financial devastation to many and do not want to have to turn any women away. Therefore, we will need to take our story to corporations, hospitals, cancer centers, etc. to raise funds to support our retreats.
The picture below shows one of our participants on the ropes course, which becomes a metaphor for overcoming the challenges they are facing.
How your contribution will help
This volunteer will be instrumental in the remaking of Healing Odyssey. We have not pursued grants in several years, depending on the generosity of a few major donors. As we ramp up our offering to reach more women, the grants that this volunteer will find for us will be the "difference maker." This person is essential to our cause, and could establish a long-term relationship with us if they so desired.
What you will get out of it
The wonder of knowing they are helping women in need. When the women leave our retreat weekend, they are transformed. Being a part of this is what drives all of our volunteers to love our mission and the women we serve.
