What needs to get done
We need a volunteer who currently is a grant writer for a non-profit organization and has the ability to search through a grant site to find to find 2-4 pharmaceutical and/or other corporations that align with a women's cancer (breast & gynecological cancers) non-profit.
You will identify, then write 2 draft grants based on data that we provide you. Based on your knowledge and skills, you will know the buzz words grant reviewers typically look for when seeking partnerships.
How your contribution will help
An approved grant or grants will provide CFTC with additional funds to operate and expand our scope.
Critters For The Cure is a volunteer organized and operated non-profit that provides emergency financial assistance and life coaching to the medically underserved women battling breast and gynecological cancers. CFTC is the only women’s cancer non-profit in our nation's capital, supporting patients referred to us from over 50 cancer centers throughout MD, VA & DC.
What you will get out of it
You will play a major role in helping the "only women's cancer charity" in our nation's capital, to expand our reach, provide financial assistance and life coaching to more women than ever before.
In prior years, we have spent too much of our time fund-raising, which has taken us away from what we do best... referring women to local, state and federal programs that might provide them assistance with utilities, rent, food stamps, etc., as well as cross-reference against master resource list.
